Electric mini choppers

What’s up with electric mini choppers? They are one of the most difficult items to find on the Internet. One news articles says their electric mini choppers absolutely blew out of the store. However, I’m a little doubtful and here’s why.

Recently pocket bikes have dominated the motor sports news pages and very often the front pages of small city newspapers. With the advent of recent enthusiasm for pocket bike racing, many consumers have purchased both gas and electric mini choppers for point-to-point transportation and off-track recreational riding. However, pocket bikes, standing a mere 18 inches tall aren’t built or equipped to be street legal vehicles. As a result, many municipalities all over the US have enacted ordinances and other restrictions for both the sale and riding of gas end electric mini choppers.

In addition, since a considerable number of these bikes were purchased by hobby bikers instead of pocket racing enthusiasts, a lot of them are low-end, cheap imports that don’t hold up to day to day travel. These imported gas and electric mini choppers often have no warranty, no parts availability, and are sold “as is” with no return policy. “You pays your money, you takes your chances!”

Since many dealers depend on income from satisfied customers for future business, parts business and accessories business, a lot of them, stymied by new laws and overwhelmed with customer complaints, have discontinued sales of low-end electric mini choppers.

Searching the web today for electric mini choppers, I found that, amazingly eight of ten sites had the exact same four electric mini bikes, in the exact same colors, and astoundingly, at the exact same prices! Unfortunately, only two of them were electric mini choppers – the NSG and the Razor, both imported from China and both selling in the $300+ range.

One site I found sells Bravo electric mini choppers. However, I couldn’t find any information about the company. The bike weighs 90 pounds, which in my opinion puts it out of the pocket bike class. What’s more, for all its 500Watts of power, it only gets a max of 22MPH. Even on sale, this bike is $399.99. (Regularly $699.99).

What’s up with electric mini choppers? Sorry folks. Thumbs down – this time around the track!
