Manco Minibikes - A Legacy of Performance and Fun
With the rise in popularity of minibikes, some new forms and brands of bikes have evolved. One of the more popular types is the Manco minibikes line. Manco minibikes have actually been around for some time, rising in popularity because of their off-road performance.
The Manco minibikes company started in the mid-1970s in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Manco started with go-karts, and ended up making a full line of performance vehicles (ATVs, Go-Karts, Minibikes, and more). All Manco minibikes and other vehicles share the same mantra - off-road performance and trail-blazing capabilities. This commitment to quality and fun has made Manco a standout in the minibike industry.
There are currently two models of Manco minibikes - the 584B (Streaker), and 594B (Thunderbird). The Streaker is made for beginners, or those not looking for all the bells and whistles. The Thunderbird is for intermediate riders, who desire increased performance, and are willing to pay a higher price. Both bikes feature name brand parts (Subaru, amongst others) and high-quality craftsmanship.
The Streaker, which retails for $599, has a 4 hp motor, which isn't the most powerful, but can still provide thrills for years to come. This Manco minibike features a 23" seat height, small by today's standards. Most smaller-sized riders and children will find this bike comfortable and be able to appreciate its usability. The maximum weight capacity of the bike is 150 pounds, so larger riders should consider Manco's higher-prced model, the Thunderbird.
The Thunderbird retails for $749. The 594B's 8" solid black tires contribute to its aesthetic appeal, and a unique front axle design only adds to it. The Thunderbird features a 26" seat height, so this Manco minibike can accommodate larger riders. It has a larger weight, 252 pounds. The Thunderbird features enhanced comfort with front and rear suspension/shock absorbers. It employs an extra-thick foam seat and a custom face plate.
Shipping can prove pricey on these models, but it's often well worth it. The setup is fairly easy, with a full manual included. Customization is limited, but great looks and performance come standard.
